LAWS PRACTICED IN CYPRUS Laws practiced in Cyprus basically stem from the British Dominion Rule before 1960. Therefore there is a great deal of resemblance to the Anglo-Saxon Practice. Since 1974, our parliament in the North Of Cyprus has enacted laws to fulfill/new needs or amended the Dominion Rullings so as to adjust them to the changing society. Howewer the decissions of the English High Court and pre 1963 decissions of the High Court of the Republic Of Cyprus are still binding for the court of the TRNC.
